GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and from the 25th May 2018 it will replace the previous Data Protection Laws.
This regulation means that personal data should be processed ‘fairly and lawfully’ and ‘collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes’. It also states that no data is processed without the individuals knowledge and consent.
This means that you, as an individual have a right to be informed how your personal data will be used.
2. Responsibilities and Disclosure
JDW Weddings will collect the following information on paper copies which are secured in a locked filing cabinet at Julia Wilson’s home address.
-Clients name, address, contact telephone numbers, and email address.
-Information and details of clients wedding, including supplier contact emails and contact details.
Paper forms of the clients event will be kept securely for a maximum of 5 years and then shredded.
A client can at any point make a request relating to their data and JDW Weddings must respond within one month.
An individual has the right to request deletion of their data where there is no compelling reason to continue its use.
Clients of JDW Weddings will make contact with Julia Wilson via email or telephone or Facebook messenger.
JDW Weddings will not share any client data with any third party unless it is required to formally start a legal process to recover bills/invoices that are not paid.
Access to all computers used by JDW Weddings are password protected.
By consenting to this privacy notice you are giving permission to process your personal data.
Payments for On the Day and event packages are to be made by the client 7 days before the event. Payments can be made in cash, cheque or by BACS transfer.
5. Social Media
JDW Weddings has a Facebook account only and does not participate in any other social media.
All photos and information uploaded to Facebook will be with the written consent of the client.
