We cannot thank Julia enough for making our day so perfect. We didn’t have to think about anything on the wedding day apart from just enjoying the best day of our lives, and it really was! Everything ran so wonderfully smooth and it all looked so beautiful. Julia took all the stress away from us and allowed us to enjoy the wedding planning process as well. She was such a delight to work with and has such a wealth of knowledge and expertise. We got some great tips from her which really made a difference on the day. We are so grateful that she was recommended by a friend and we would recommend her to absolutely everyone! Everyone should have a Julia Wilson at their wedding. Thank you so much! From our very first meeting with Julia I felt like we were talking to a friend who we had known for years because she is so personable and she made us feel so relaxed. Julia is so incredibly organised and great at sharing ideas which made our wedding planning fun rather than stressful.
Julia strikes the perfect balance between guiding you through your big day whilst enabling you to feel fully in control. On the big day itself it was such a huge relief to know Julia was coordinating our wedding reception, she really did play a huge part in making our day perfect!

“Once we were engaged we immediately started looking at venue’s and were eager to get something booked and start planning. Heather grew up in the village of Pensford and had always wanted to get married in Publow Church so we did not need to decide on a wedding venue, just somewhere for the reception. We started looking for relaxed receptions venues no more than a 30 minute radius away, we didnt want stately homes or hotels we just wanted somewhere that we could throw a nice informal fun party for all of our friends and relatives. There was nothing that was an exact fit within our radius and so we started to look at alternative choices, the village hall seemed far too simple but the more we thought about it, the better it seemed. With a good imagination and lots of decoration we were sure it could work. Six months on the date, church and hall were booked. The photographer and florist closely followed and Heather started to finalise all other major suppliers. Things kept moving along and all was going well but we kept thinking about how it was all going to work on the day and how we knew everything would run smoothly. Our parents were very supportive and said that they could take care of this but we really just wanted everyone to enjoy the day and not be worrying about the schedule and organising suppliers and caterers. We were very clear on the sort of reception we wanted and it included a packed schedule of food and drink plus games and 2 quick changes of table layout, this would take quite a bit of supervision and with hired caterers and waiting staff from different companies it seemed all a bit muddled. Heather looked into options and came across wedding planners that did ‘on the day co-ordination’. Having never considered hiring a wedding planner we did not even know this type of service existed but it looked perfect for what we wanted. Heather immediately started to make enquiries and had a consultation meeting with Julia where she bombarded her with fabric samples, scrapbook cuttings and ideas. The rest as they say is history as we knew straight away that we wanted to hire Julia after meeting her and talking things through. Julia kept in touch throughout the months leading up to the wedding and around 4 weeks before came to meet us at the hall and the real organisation took hold! We thought we had covered everything and only needed Julia for the day – little did we know! Julia helped out in sourcing any suppliers that we didnt have and needed, this was really helpful as we were stuck on a few things like DJ and waiting staff, it was so useful to get a proffessional’s point of view and she thought of everything that we didnt. We contacted Julia about a year before our wedding as we were planning our wedding independently and were very much taking a DIY approach to the day. We weren’t using a venue that came with a package and did everything for you so we booked Julia’s on the day package to give us the reassurance that somebody would be there to help everything run as smoothly as possible! It was single handedly the best investment we made, from the minute we met Julia to the day after the event when she was helping us clear up, she was an absolute star, and real value for money. She did more than we could have hoped for, both in the lead up to the day and the day itself. By taking over all contact with our suppliers about 2 weeks before it enabled us to focus on getting ourselves ready and she was really helpful in helping us with ideas and reminding us of things we hadn’t thought of. On the day she was invaluable, taking a real hands on approach, doing everything from getting to the venue early to help prepare it, hand plucking rose petals to make us confetti, opening bottles of wine, coordinating our suppliers and even getting paracetamol for us when the champagne became too much!! She was also incredibly smiley through it all! Julia 100% put our minds at rest and was absolutely integral to the success of our day and it being so amazing for the both of us. “My wife and I wanted to squeeze a lot of various set pieces into our big day and we were worried that trying to co-ordinate these ourselves would be too stressful on what would be a very emotional day. If we truly wanted to enjoy our wedding with no distractions we were going to need someone to co-ordinate everything, my wife found Julia ‘s website on the net and we were both impressed by the comments from other people. We met Julia as we did with any supplier, who put us at ease immediately from when we first met to discuss the big day. Julia took so much off of our shoulders during the planning process greatly reducing our stress less to say the least! When it came to the big day, there is only one word I can use to describe it … flawless. Julia made sure everything went to plan and to time. The guests commented on what a perfect day it was and Julia deserves a lot of credit for that. Julia’s personal touch can be experienced throughout the whole day, the precision and preparedness shows that Julia takes what she does very seriously and that she strives on a quality based approach and not wanting to try and fit in as many weddings as she can. We both felt that our wedding was incredibly important to Julia and on the day Julia made us the centre of her universe! As many other of Julia’s clients have stated having a co-ordinator and planner is one of the best decisions you can make when getting married, we would happily have paid 4 or 5 times what we did to ensure that the day went as perfectly as it did. After we got engaged we opted to marry quickly as we had been together for 10 years. We found the perfect venue and they had a Saturday free just three months down the line, so we went for it. I don’t think we initially realized the amount of work involved in planning a wedding and that combined with demanding full time jobs soon took its toll. We found details of Julia in a wedding magazine and thought it was worth investigating some help but had no idea what to expect and how much it would cost. We didn’t want someone to take over completely and for our wedding day to lose its individuality, this did not happen at all. Julia didn’t make any decisions for us, she just did the ground work and presented us with the options, from wedding bands, casino, fireworks stationary…the list goes on. It allowed us to select tried and tested suppliers without having to research them ourselves. Julia is just lovely. Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and hard working. Her fees are very reasonable and due to her expansive knowledge, you can achieve far more in a day with her help than you can in a week on your own! On our wedding day, Julia arrived early and left late, taking time to check we were okay throughout. She worked extremely hard to co-ordinate the suppliers and guests so that everything run effortlessly. I’m sure lots of things went wrong behind the scenes but we knew nothing about them. Julia also went out of her way to make our family and friends feel extremely welcome and relaxed and even decorated the bridal suite which was a special treat at the end of a tiring but perfect day. We can’t recommend Julia highly enough. Just being able to sit back, relax and enjoy the most special day of your life is worth every penny a thousand times over.
